Home Visits
How our teachers stay connected with every family.
Getting to know a child means getting to know their family. Our Home Visits programme is one of the things that makes Birlik different.
What a home visit is
Our teachers visit families at home — not because anything is wrong, but simply to build a genuine relationship. It is a friendly, informal conversation about how a child is getting on, what they enjoy, and how school and home can work together.
Why we do it
- Parents get to know their child’s teacher properly, and the teacher gets to know them.
- Teachers understand each child’s world far better, which helps them teach that child well.
- Families who might feel shy about coming into school find it much easier to talk at home.
- It builds the trust that makes everything else easier — especially if a difficulty ever arises.
How it works
- Visits are always arranged in advance, at a time that suits the family.
- They are short, friendly and completely informal.
- Teachers visit in pairs.
- Visits are entirely voluntary — families are free to decline, or to meet at school instead.
To arrange a visit, please speak to your child’s class teacher or contact the school office.
